Celebrate summer and socialize with the Tahoma Audubon community at our summer community meal and Birdathon awards ceremony. All Tahoma Audubon friends and members are welcome!
We’ll enjoy a meal together out at the shelter just beyond the Tacoma Nature Center building (or inside, if we get bad weather). For the community meal, please bring a main or side dish to share and your own plates and utensils. You may also want to bring a lawn chair, though there are some picnic tables available. If you finish eating and socializing early, take a stroll around Snake Lake to see birds, native plants and more.
After the community meal, we’ll start the Birdathon awards ceremony in the Auditorium, complete with anecdotes and photos from this year’s trips, an awards ceremony, and fun and games for everyone who attends. You won't have to know anything about Birdathon to enjoy yourself—and you might even win a prize.
Please RSVP for the community meal. On the RSVP form, you'll be asked to indicate if you’ll bring a main or side dish. Note that no grilles are allowed and no power is available.
Limited parking is available at the Nature Center, and overflow parking is available across the street at the Heidelberg Park play fields.
