**Update- this morning session is FULL, but there are still spots in the afternoon session!
This FREE session of the Great Backyard Bird Count, or GBBC, is especially designed for kids & families and is hosted by Tahoma Audubon at the Adriana Hess Audubon Center in University Place.
We'll start with an introduction to birding in your backyard, then head outdoors with naturalists to observe and count birds in this urban park. Bring your binoculars or borrow ours. Children under 12 years of age need an adult with them, and one adult per every two children is requested.
Limited to 20 people (kids & adults). Please include number of kids and adults, and ages of kids when they register, and include phone contact in case of cancellation (heavy rain may cancel event as birds will be hiding!)
Our Nature Shop will also be open that day if you'd like to pick up a handy bird book to continue counting and watching birds in your own backyard or nearby park.
